As a reminder, the entire run of the series is STILL available from our online store for only $25! This encompasses nearly 400 pages of material for almost 50% off cover price! Single issue amd compilation orders can also be placed.
Of course, we always encourage readers to purchase Rob Hanes Adventures from their retailer, or to ask their retailer to order it for their store.
The
approach of summer convention season also usually means a brand
new issue of Rob
Hanes Adventures is on the way, so I thought this would be
a good time for an update from WCG
Comics!
As reported at my blog, the art to Rob Hanes Adventures #11 has been completed but putting the entire issue to bed has been held up by the fact that my scanner died! Time is getting tight, but I'm looking forward to receiving my replacement scanner so that I can put the finishing touches on the issue in time for the San Diego Comic-Con.
The work-in-progress color cover for the issue is pictured above right and can be seen full-size by clicking on the image. Meanwhile, I've just posted new pages from the upcoming issue—click on the cover image above or here to see the pages available for preview. Pages 15, 17 and 18 were just added to the site.
In the story, Rob is taken captive in one of the most remote regions of the world after he uncovers a state-sponsored countefeiting ring in "Rob Hanes and the Pirates"!
Speaking
of the San Diego Comic-Con (or
as it's officially known, Comic-Con
International: San Diego), I've just received confirmation that I'll have
a booth at the show. In fact, I'll be at the same space I've occupied the last
few years (Booth S14 in the Small Press Pavilion).
As we get closer to the show, I'll provide more details about my appearance and location.
(Please note that I won't have the first volume of my projected comprehensive trade paperback collection of the series ready in time for the show. That probably won't come until later this year at the earliest.)
In the next newsletter, I'll be posting the art of my contribution to this year's souvenir program: a tribute to the 25th anniversary of Howard Chaykin's American Flagg!
I admit I've been a bit remiss in keeping my webcomic up to date. As I go through back issues to select the story to serialize next, I'm re-running "Old World Order." Go ahead and check it out—the original black-and-white story has been re-colored by Barry Gregory, which has given the story a fresh new look and feel!
As always thanks to everyone for their continuing support of Rob Hanes Adventures!!
